Even though there are hundreds of National monuments, battlefields and other preserved areas in the United States, there are only 58 National parks. 56 of those lie within the 50 states; two others are located in U.S. territories in the Virgin Islands and Samoa.

I have visited 24 so far. This gallery has been created as a testament to the incredible beauty and wonder of nature that lies within America's National Parks.
